That range spans a wider gap between roughing and finishing speeds than almost any other Okuma 5-axis platform offers.
That range matters in practice: a shop can specify one end of the spindle range for aggressive roughing on tough materials and the other end for fine-detail, high-speed finishing — sometimes on the very same machine if the spindle option supports it, or across a fleet of MU-VIII machines each configured for a different stage of the process.
