There’s a genuinely interesting historical thread here: when Okuma developed absolute position feedback for its first OSP control back in 1963, commercial semiconductor memory didn’t exist yet — the feature that let a machine remember its exact position through a power cut was, for a while, “a mere dream” until the technology caught up. Mail-in component repair. For a specific failed board, drive or spindle, many plants find it faster to ship us the component directly rather than wait for a site visit. We diagnose and repair it at component level in our workshop, then ship it back tested and ready to reinstall.
